Frustrating Qualifying for Jeremy Seewer

Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP's Jeremy Seewer just missed the points after finishing eleventh in Qualifying for the Latvian round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship at Kegums.

The Swiss never settled all day on a super-fast track in the Baltic state. He shot out of the gate eighth after setting ninth-fastest time during Timed Practice but quickly surrendered two positions and was later pushed back to eleventh.

Bike It Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team's Jack Chambers finished twelfth in Qualifying for the FIM World MX2 Motocross Championship. The American was pushed back a couple of places by sand-experts early in the race after rounding turn one tenth from the middle of the gate; maintaining consistently solid laps he regained eleventh mid-moto but surrendered it again two laps from the finish.

Jack Chambers: "I felt really comfortable with the track today; this is one of the tracks I raced already last year and the bike set-up felt good. The day started really well with P7 in Free Practice. We made some clutch adjustments for the starts and I know what I need to do tomorrow. We're making good progress to where we need to be and I had some good battles in Qualifying with factory boys."

Teammate Bobby Bruce suffered a dislocated shoulder during Free Practice and, despite setting twenty-first time in Timed Practice, decided to sit out the Qualifying race to allow the shoulder to recover before tomorrow's GP motos.

Bobby Bruce: "I didn't get a lot of riding today after dislocating my shoulder this morning. The track was getting rough by the end of the day so it was not a bad shout to decide to miss Quali today to save my shoulder for tomorrow."
